Caption translation versus transliteration: review the actual meaning
Transliteration changes a writing representation; translation changes how meaning is expressed in another language. Neither is established by a language label or readable font. When captions were generated or translated automatically, review the underlying transcript and target-language meaning as separate steps before calling the resource accurate.

Identify what changed between the resources
Compare the supplied source and target and ask which operation produced the result. Names can be transliterated into another script while the surrounding sentence is translated, so a single cue can contain both decisions. A script change alone does not make an instruction understandable in another language or identify an independently available soundtrack.
Record the exact movie version, original caption source and any known generation or translation stage. An automatic translation can inherit an earlier speech-recognition error. Fluency in the resulting sentence may conceal a wrong number, a missed negation or a misidentified proper name from that first stage.
Review source transcription before target interpretation
Listen to the corresponding recording and verify the source wording where it is available and reviewable. Mark unclear speech or ask the authorized creator for clarification rather than inventing a plausible phrase. Keep the original generated resource separate from corrections so later reviewers can identify which stage changed.
Use an appropriate target-language reviewer for meaning, terminology and names. A transliteration system can convert script conventions without establishing that a particular person's preferred spelling is correct. Check the intended name with authoritative production context where necessary, and avoid inferring a real identity from an uncertain voice.
Verify timing, display and the stated review scope
Load the reviewed resource with the exact movie and check relevant cues at normal speed. Translation can change text length, so review display intervals, line breaks and critical picture obstruction as well as meaning. A font fixing missing glyphs addresses display, not linguistic accuracy.
Document which passages and languages were reviewed, including unresolved wording. A sample check must not be described as full certification. SocialVidDownloader's thirteen interface languages and available source audio streams do not provide automatic caption translation or qualified linguistic review. Keep separately supplied caption resources and their provenance clear, and publish or share only the review claims supported by the actual work performed.
Worked example
Example: an automatic transcript mishears a measurement, then a translation expresses that incorrect number fluently in another language. Fix the source evidence and review the target phrase rather than approving it because it reads naturally. A transliterated product name beside that sentence is a separate representation choice.
