Speech reverberation is different from steady background noise
Reverberation contains delayed room reflections of the wanted sound, often overlapping later speech. It is not simply a steady background component represented by one noise-only pause. Identify the actual recording problem before applying a noise profile or declaring that a quieter processed copy restored the original clean voice.

Listen to the source and locate overlapping reflections
Retain the unchanged recording and compare a short spoken phrase with its following pause at a stable monitoring level. Note whether the unwanted sound continues from the voice, stays independent as a steady hiss or changes with background activity. A hollow or distant voice needs a more specific observation than simply reporting noise.
Compare the source in a controlled receiver and check whether playback itself adds a spatial effect. A room recording and an application enhancement can produce similar impressions through different paths. Where the creator has a direct microphone source, request an authorized comparison rather than assuming a downloaded mix can be separated into clean components.
Choose a process appropriate to its actual target
Audacity's profiled Noise Reduction targets documented steady background conditions and uses a real noise-only reference. Reflections derived from speech can share its frequencies and overlap the wanted words, so an arbitrary pause or quiet syllable is not a verified model of only unwanted reverberation.
If an appropriate external reverberation-reduction processor is available, test a recoverable short sample and read its actual limits. Do not substitute a gate as proof of room removal: reducing a quiet tail does not necessarily address reflections while speech continues. Avoid universal presets or claims that stronger reduction must produce a more faithful voice.
Verify intelligibility and label the result honestly
Compare consonants, quiet qualifiers and overlaps with the retained source. Listen for metallic texture, pumping or removed wanted syllables as well as reduced room sound. A smooth-looking waveform or quieter pause does not prove that the full message survived. Check picture synchronization and the saved ending when the audio accompanies a movie.
Keep an accepted output as a labelled processed listening derivative and retain source context for revision. If the recording remains hard to understand, state that limitation or seek another permitted recording rather than inventing words. SocialVidDownloader does not provide guaranteed dereverberation, isolated-voice recovery or audio restoration. Its available source tracks and local utility outputs cannot reconstruct measurements that the original capture never supplied.
Worked example
Example: an interview in a reflective room has quiet words masked by the decay of earlier syllables. A noise profile taken from another pause removes parts of those words. Compare the actual source and processor target, revise or decline the processing and preserve the uncertainty rather than certifying a recovered clean interview.
