TTML presentation handoffs: fonts, images and inherited styling
A TTML presentation can depend on its profile, inherited styling and external resources rather than its dialogue words alone. Identify required fonts or images and the receiving capability before declaring the document self-contained. A conversion that preserves text can still lose meaningful presentation or a required image-based caption resource.

Inventory the declared profile and resource scope
Confirm whether the supplier provides a text or image-oriented profile and which external resources the presentation references. Keep the matching recording version and source document together. Inspect through a trusted tool without enabling arbitrary remote resource or XML entity fetching merely because a document references an address.
Collect only assets you are authorized to distribute. A font installed on the sender's machine may not exist or be licensed for redistribution on the receiving machine. Likewise, a reference to an image or a temporary online address does not mean its bytes are part of the delivered package. Record included assets, approved substitutions and unresolved dependencies explicitly.
Compare effective style and visible spacing
Style values can be inherited or referenced rather than repeated on every text element. A converter that reads only local attributes may omit the effective presentation. Check a representative cue using the source importer and compare the same cue in the target, including region, alignment and any distinction that communicates speaker identity.
Whitespace handling can also affect the visible wording and spacing. TTML's XML-based processing context and applicable preservation settings are not equivalent to copying source indentation into dialogue. Review actual rendered phrases rather than treating the source file's line layout as proof of the intended caption line breaks.
Verify after moving to the receiving environment
Test the complete delivered package from its new location with required resources available through the authorized workflow. Include characters that depend on the intended font, image-based cues and scenes where inherited style matters. Cached resources on the sender's machine can conceal a missing dependency, so a sender-only preview is insufficient.
If the receiving format cannot represent a required feature, agree on a supported alternative and document the loss. Keep the original document and assets separately from the reviewed derivative. SocialVidDownloader does not assemble TTML resource packages or guarantee full presentation preservation. The goal is a tested authorized handoff for a specified receiver, not a claim that readable XML, identical dialogue words or a renamed extension proves every visual caption requirement survived.
Worked example
Example: a TTML cue uses an inherited speaker style and an approved external font. The converted file retains the words but loses the style and shows fallback glyphs on the recipient's machine. Include the permitted resource or agree on a reviewed substitution, then test the actual destination rather than approving the sender's cached preview.
