Respond to a video permission change without guessing its scope
A permission-change notice, an expired sharing link and deletion of a platform post are different events. Identify the exact recording and the authorization basis before deciding what must change. Do not assume either that a public file remains cleared forever or that every license can be revoked on identical terms.

Identify the notice and retained authorization evidence
Record who sent the notice, which version and components it concerns and what action it requests. Keep the original permission or license, dated source context and relevant correspondence in an appropriately protected record. A vanished source page does not justify inventing the terms that were previously displayed.
Check whether the basis was a specific agreement, a license or another applicable authorization route. Those arrangements can have different conditions. Creative Commons explains that its licenses are not simply withdrawn from compliant existing users by a later change of mind. That does not decide every footage, music, privacy or contract question in a particular recording.
Inventory actual ongoing uses and expiry conditions
List retained source copies, edited derivatives, public posts, review links and recipients already supplied. Compare each ongoing use with the documented purpose, audience, edits and any applicable expiry. A file on a private archive drive and an active public distribution are different uses, even when their media bytes match.
Do not treat removing a hosted link as remote deletion of independently retained copies. Likewise, do not assume deleting your local file removes a collaborator's copy or resolves an outstanding agreement. Where terms or the requested action are unclear, seek clarification from the responsible owner or qualified adviser rather than making a universal legal determination from the URL.
Document the response and verify technical changes
Take the appropriate authorized action for the clarified situation and record its scope. If a public post or review access is changed, verify the actual platform state. If a recipient needs a revised artifact, identify that version clearly and communicate through the agreed channel; do not silently substitute a different recording under the same clearance note.
