Review a shared folder audience before delivering a movie
A neutral filename does not make a movie private when its destination folder grants access to other people. Review the effective audience, parent-folder permissions and actual recipient account before placing sensitive media there. File-specific controls and inherited sharing can interact, so check the supported storage interface rather than assuming one checkbox defines the whole audience.

Identify the destination and effective access
Record the actual file location, storage account and intended recipient. A shortcut, a synchronized local folder and the underlying shared cloud item can expose different views of the same resource. Inspect who can view, edit or share the file and whether the containing folder supplies access beyond individually named recipients.
Google Drive's current guidance provides file information/details and Manage access for users authorized to change sharing. It also explains parent-folder inheritance and warns that changes can affect broader folder access. Review the actual item and parent scope before changing permissions; a reduced-looking file entry is not sufficient evidence that every inherited route disappeared.
Choose a limited authorized handoff
Supply only the recording and companions the reviewer needs. Do not share a whole source directory containing unrelated interviews, private account exports or permission correspondence merely because copying one link is convenient. Review any manifests, subtitles and filenames for unnecessary identifying information as separate parts of the package.
Use the platform's supported account and link controls appropriate to the intended audience. If expiration or another restriction is available under that account, inspect its actual settings and verify the recipient's access; do not promise the same features for every account type. Never make confidential content public just to avoid a sign-in or downloading restriction.
Verify access and retained-copy limits separately
Test the intended authorized receiving context and confirm that the correct version opens with the required actions. Keep unrelated account information out of screenshots and public reports. If organizational policy prevents the intended delivery, ask the responsible administrator for an approved route rather than weakening controls.
A later link or permission change affects the governed access path; it is not a universal recall of copies already retained elsewhere. Record the handoff and permitted purpose and keep sensitive context private. SocialVidDownloader does not manage cloud-folder permissions or retrieve private Drive media as a social provider. Its real local output should be delivered through an appropriate authorized storage workflow with the actual audience and artifact checked.
Worked example
Example: a reviewer is named on one movie, but its parent folder also grants access to a broader team. Inspect the effective folder and file audience before adding a confidential interview. A renamed filename or a file-level screenshot cannot establish that the parent sharing scope excludes the rest of that team.
