Instagram video or Reel unavailable to the downloader
An Instagram post playing in your account does not guarantee that a public downloader can retrieve its media. Confirm a direct supported post or Reel URL, then distinguish source access from temporary extraction failure. A login requirement is an access limitation, not a request to submit your Instagram password.

Check the media object and privacy context
A profile address, feed page, or collection is not a direct video identifier. Open the intended post or Reel and copy its own link. A post can also contain non-video material; selecting the correct object matters before troubleshooting extraction.
Instagram privacy settings can restrict who sees content. A signed-in app may show material that anonymous processing cannot access. If the source was removed, made private, or otherwise restricted, the downloader may report unavailable content. Do not assert that a post is deleted solely from a generic provider failure. Check the available source evidence and keep the distinction between access and removal clear.
Identify a temporary provider failure honestly
For a valid public media URL, extraction can still fail because upstream behavior changes or requests are limited. Metadata retrieval and file preparation are separate observations. A correct title without usable formats does not prove that the service has a downloadable recording.
Try fresh analysis later where appropriate, using the original URL. Avoid repeated rapid retries or guessed media addresses. If analysis returns actual choices, inspect audio presence and dimensions. Some retrieved formats can be video-only. The tool must not fabricate audio, higher resolution, or a success response simply because the source app plays a fuller version.
Check completion without expanding unsupported access
When processing returns a ready file, monitor its browser transfer and open the saved copy. An expired analysis session needs a new current selection; an inaccessible post needs an honest limitation. For a configured processing limit, a suitable smaller genuine option may help, but no result is guaranteed.
Stories are not a supported public download workflow here. Do not transform a Story link into a promised Reel or supply passwords, cookies, or account credentials to force retrieval. Report whether the item is a post or Reel, the public URL, and the stage and message of failure. Those details allow a link or extraction issue to be investigated without claiming private-account support or treating every Instagram error as a browser problem.
Worked example
Illustrative case: a private Reel plays for an approved follower in the app, but public analysis cannot retrieve it. Opening a different browser does not grant the service follower access. A separate genuinely public Reel may be processable, subject to current extraction availability.
