Transfer a completed video from phone to computer
Transfer the actual completed local file through a method supported by both devices, then verify the received media before removing the phone copy. A shared source link or cloud preview is not the same as copying the retained file. Choose the handoff for your device pair instead of assuming every phone exposes identical USB folders.

Identify the file you intend to transfer
Locate the completed result on the phone and open it locally. Confirm the intended recording, duration and sound. On iPhone, distinguish a Files item from a Photos library item; on Android, check the actual storage location.
Note the saved filename and any selected language or format. Several results can share a source title while containing different streams. Do not choose a transfer solely by a thumbnail.
Keep authorization boundaries in place. The handoff moves a file you are permitted to retain; it does not create permission to redistribute it or extract someone else's private account content.
Choose a supported device-pair method
Android's documentation describes supported account-based and USB transfer paths, with USB mode and computer compatibility relevant. Apple documents AirDrop and other supported routes for Apple devices.
A cloud-storage route can work across device families, but it introduces account access, upload completion and offline-availability questions. A messaging route can also change the delivered representation, depending on the service and how the item is attached.
If exact preservation matters, verify the delivered file rather than assuming any share button sends unchanged bytes. Select a method whose documented behavior meets the task, and use the device-specific guides for connection details.
Check the receiving destination and completion
On the computer, identify where the receiving application saved the file. Wait for the transfer to finish before testing playback or moving the output into a project.
Compare the received filename, size and duration with the phone copy. These checks are useful but do not prove byte identity. For an exact-copy requirement, use a checksum workflow on both artifacts where practical.
A file appearing in a cloud listing does not necessarily mean it is available offline. If the task is a local editing handoff, verify that the complete bytes are present on the receiving computer.
Retain a recoverable source until the task is verified
Open the received video and check picture and sound at several points. Test it in the intended editor if editing is the goal; ordinary player support does not establish editor import compatibility.
Keep the phone source until the recipient copy meets the task. Deleting it immediately after a transfer animation can turn a partial or transformed delivery into an avoidable loss.
SocialVidDownloader does not supply a cross-device sync or transfer service. This handoff happens through the devices' supported tools after a real local result exists. Document any external conversion or sharing transformation separately.
Worked example
Example: a completed phone video is sent to a computer through a supported file-transfer method. Before deleting the phone copy, open the received file, compare duration and sound, and import it into the intended editor. If the recipient only has a cloud preview, make and verify the actual local copy first.
