Separate device storage failures from the service file-size limit
Check the selected destination’s free space when a browser cannot retain a completed video. That is different from the service rejecting a source for its file-size budget. A cloud folder, external drive and local disk can each have separate capacity or access limits, so diagnose the stage that failed.

Identify which size matters
Analysis may show a source estimate, while Ready reports the actual prepared output size. Alternative audio choices and packaging can change that result. Do not assume every 720p file occupies the same bytes, or that the original source size exactly equals the final muxed file.
The engine also bounds aggregate source inputs and its temporary output. A server-side size-limit response can therefore occur before the browser saves anything. Freeing space on your phone or laptop does not increase that server budget. Choose a smaller actually available format when the source permits one.
Inspect the real destination
Use the operating system’s storage view and the selected folder or volume, not only the computer’s overall capacity. A removable drive can be full while another disk has space. A synced location may have a provider quota or local retrieval requirement independent of the main disk.
Microsoft documents storage checks through Windows file-management tools. On other devices, use the supported storage settings for that system. Before removing anything, identify redundant downloads or partial copies you no longer need and preserve important files. Do not recommend a broad cleanup that could delete unrelated user data.
Troubleshoot permissions and partial transfers
A message saying access denied or the location is unavailable is not necessarily a capacity shortage. Try an ordinary writable destination you control, if permitted, and inspect the browser’s exact completion status. Avoid changing system-wide permissions or using elevated access as a routine download step.
An interrupted item can leave a partial file consuming space. Confirm its identity and preserve any working copy before removing it. If the service link expires during diagnosis, analyze the authorized public source again. A smaller genuine source selection can reduce transfer needs, but changing its label or calling a partial output complete is never a valid fix.
Worked example
The prepared file is 30 MB, but its chosen removable destination has only 5 MB free. That is a local-capacity failure. In a different case, the server rejects a source before preparation because its actual inputs exceed the configured budget; a laptop with ample free space cannot change that result. Diagnose these situations separately.
